My Italian ‘EAT’ster

A photo montage of Easter with the Italians…

Carlo and I after Easter Mass

Gamberitti (Little Shrimp)

Asparagus in parmesan crisp cups

Since I am, after all an American girl...I had to make deviled eggs.

Aperitivo, it pairs so well with perfect California weather.

Monkey Bread for Easter morning, my families tradition. And Carlo enjoyed it too!

The Antipasti spread

Carlo's favorites

Insalata Russa (Russian Salad)

Crespelli, now the main meal begins...

Lamb...for the meat eaters

Cheese for me!

Frutta di Mostarda. It pairs nicely with the cheese.

Roast Potatoes

Some kind of meat with a tuna sauce

Carlo full and happy

Colomba time...its like a panettone.

Cream Puffs that I made

A chocolate-y surprise...

Cookies and candies finish the meal.

During dessert, we sipped on Prosecco and enjoyed any last bits of sweets that we could fit into our tummies. I was stuffed after this meal…actually I think I am still full from it, but it was worth every bit.
